Typically British.....

So as our London trip ends & still on budget yay.....these are the typical British things you expect too see...

A handy travelling tip while in London, is to buy a "Oyster card" & travel after 9.30am. You will get discounted rates then, this saved us heaps money travelling like this. You can use the card on the underground or the buses.....

Seem to be getting better at packing, we bought stuff & still managed to get zips closed.....23kg's here's hoping!!!

Now we head for Heathrow Airport & hoping my luggage finds me at the other end ok..... So this next part of our trip is Cathy's recommendation (my travel agent, she is great). Off to Switzerland Staying at Montreux Eden Palace on the lake, going to Gstaad & seeing the Swiss Alps.....brrrrrrrrr

Famous old red double decker bus......

Black taxi......

Phone box.....

London Eye.....

My tip for London would be try caramello chocolate (thanks for that tip Nat) & try a white chocolate croissant yum yum....

Paul's tip for London would be don't buy Michelle a Pastie & research where you stay so you don't bump your head whilst on the toilet!!!

  1. Hi Michelle
You have certainly had an amazing stay in England, especially London. I had a pastie on the boat ride up the Thames and it was delicious, mind you I wasn't worrying about the calories back then and I can't remember how much it cost but I do remember it was delicious. Can't wait to see your pics from Switzerland. I still can't get over the quality of your photos, just amazing. Hope you still have enough room to fit in some souvenirs from Switzerland and Italy...........Jan

  2. Hi Jan, boy what a day we have had Geneva Airport closed due to the snow. So stress levels are a bit high, hoping that we & our luggage make it to Geneva then Montreux tonight. Ahh what a day,
